Researcher (Podcast Production): Health Justice & Decolonisation, Birkbeck, University of London

Birkbeck, University of London, has an exciting opportunity for a Researcher interested in research impact to conduct a series of podcasts on health justice and decolonisation.

In this role, you will design, produce, and deliver a series of podcasts that contribute to a growing research network focused on health justice. You will work closely with established scholars, curating a diverse range of voices across disciplines, backgrounds, and lived experiences.

The role is being offered on a fixed term basis until 31 May 2026, and is part-time working an average of five hours per week, up to a total of 60 hours, and mainly working from home. The salary is £24.24 per hour (pro-rata £44,247 per year).  

About you

You will bring academic experience in medical humanities, medical sociology, or a closely related field, alongside a strong commitment to health justice.

You will be wellversed in discussions surrounding the decolonisation of academic research and enthusiastic about producing and curating a diverse group of scholars in relation to disciplines, life experiences, and social identities.

Strong qualitative research skills are essential, particularly experience in conducting and shaping indepth, long form interviews for publicfacing content.

Salary and benefits

The salary is £24.24 per hour (pro-rata £44,247 per year). Grade 7 on the College's London Pay Scale which includes a consolidated London Weighting Allowance.

Contract:
