About the role: Do you have exceptional organisational skills and a passion for supporting students and staff at a world‑leading institution? As a Coordinator (Projects) within the Early Career Researcher Institute, you will play a vital role in delivering high‑quality learning, development and support activities that empower Imperial’s early career researchers.

Working as part of a collaborative and dynamic team, you will help ensure the smooth running of ECRI’s extensive programme of courses, events and tailored support, contributing to a vibrant and supportive research environment across the College

What you would be doing:

  • Coordinate and schedule learning and development opportunities, including courses, tailored support, workshops and programme activities.
  • Organise a range of major ECRI events such as welcome programmes, research staff inductions, celebrations, conferences, and networking activities.
  • Prepare course/programme materials, manage participant enrolment, maintain attendance records and create evaluation forms.
  • Support data management processes, including uploading data to systems such as Blackboard Learn and Inkpath, and producing attendance reports.
  • Provide administrative support for ECRI projects, governance groups, and internal meetings.
  • Assist with financial processes including raising invoices, purchase orders and maintaining accurate records.
  • Contribute to ECRI communications and website updates, supporting engagement with diverse research communities.

What we are looking for:

  • Experience working in an education and busy office environment.
  • Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience managing events and balancing conflicting priorities.
  • Confidence handling data, producing reports, and using database systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build relationships with varied stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and webinar platforms such as Microsoft Teams or Zoom.
  • Initiative, problem‑solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Desirable experience includes - Using Blackboard or other VLEs, editing websites (Content Manager), and knowledge of data‑handling ethics.
