About the role
As a Research Associate in the Division of Public Health and Epidemiology, you will contribute to a research programme examining how air pollution exposure influences health outcomes. You will work both independently and collaboratively to collect, evaluate and interpret population health and air quality datasets, using GIS and analytical techniques to help deliver project milestones and high‑quality outputs. You will share findings with internal and external partners, contribute to future research ideas and funding proposals, and represent the team at national and international conferences. The role offers opportunities for professional development, leadership within the research group.
About you
You will hold, or be close to completing, a PhD or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline, with proven analytical problem‑solving skills and experience working with administrative datasets for population health assessments. You will also have expertise in air quality data analysis and GIS for environmental exposure research, supported by excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. You will be proactive, collaborative and committed to professional growth, contributing to a supportive multidisciplinary research environment. Your ability to build networks, guide colleagues and engage with stakeholders will help strengthen the wider research programme.
