We are seeking a well-organised and highly competent Assistant Course Manager to join the busy Postgraduate Taught Student Administration team within the Department for Continuing Education.
About the role
The Assistant Course Manager is responsible for leading the smooth administration of the MSt Practical Ethics programme.
You will ensure the efficient and effective administration of all key processes for the MSt in line with departmental and University requirements, including: recruitment, admissions, enrolment/registration, course delivery, assessment, examinations, progression, changes to student status and award verification/transcripts.
About you
You will have significant experience of student administration within Higher Education or a similar environment, together with strong team work skills, significant experience of supervising staff, and excellent standards of accuracy. You also need excellent communication skills and experience of conveying detailed and complex policies and procedures. You will need to demonstrate the ability to work with a significant degree of autonomy, the ability to think innovatively and creatively - with good judgement - to solve complex problems. Experience of line management would be an advantage, together with experience of acting as Secretary to examination boards, and supporting online teaching via Microsoft Teams and the Canvas virtual learning environment.
