The Role

As Lecturer (Teaching) in Physiotherapy you will undertake teaching and course co-ordination with a focus on further developing new and innovative academic practice and learning opportunities working in collaboration with our partners across England. You will work as part of the course team supporting the development and delivery of undergraduate, postgraduate, and professional programs including apprenticeship routes ensuring learners have an effective learning experience.

Based within the AHP Physiotherapy you will work with academic colleagues to enrich learning and teaching experience to ensure relevant aspects of research, enterprise and professional context are embedded in modules and courses.  

Duties include: 

  • Lead the curation, adaptation, design and development of module and course teaching materials including Curriculum development.
  • Development of teaching and learning in collaboration with course teams. 
  • Contributing to the effective delivery of BSc and MSc provision including course leadership.
  • Partnership working with NHS, Statutory and Independent Providers.

Qualifications Required

  • Master’s degree in appropriate subject or Honours Degree with appropriate professional qualification and/or membership.
  • HCPC registrant as Physiotherapist.
  • A teaching qualification or acceptance of the requirement to acquire one.
  • Active membership of appropriate professional body.

You will have demonstrable experience of successful teaching at higher education levels 4-7 in Physiotherapy with high standards of teaching, learning and student engagement consistent with our reputation and track record as a high-quality provider of teaching and learning.

Enthusiastic and self-motivated, you will have experience supporting, enhancing and engaging in an ‘active learning’ pedagogy with evidence in proactively supporting student success.

As a global education provider, experience and awareness of learners cultural differences and expectations with the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of people from diverse backgrounds is essential.

Innovation and collaboration are key to our success, therefore the ability to work both independently and part of a wider team with the willingness to engage in flexible ways of working are key skills required for this role.
