The Opportunity:
We are looking for an experienced Postdoctoral Research Fellow to contribute study the host genetic control on the rumen microbiota composition and develop microbiome-driven breeding towards lower methane emissions in cattle. The successful candidate will join a new recently created group in the areas of livestock hologenomics, including quantitative genomics and metagenomics, and participate in a large international consortium to include the metagenome as a new tool in breeding programs. The role is ideal for a researcher with a PhD with experience on quantitative genetics and metagenomics. MSc with excellent records will also be considered. The post is full-time (35 hours per week).
