About the role

The UK Recruitment team is seeking an Event Co-ordinator to support the preparation and delivery of large-scale recruitment events such as Open Days, Undergraduate Visit Days, and a programme of virtual recruitment events.

In addition to working closely with a wide range of university teams to prepare the campus for welcoming prospective students, the postholder will plan and deliver a selection of key areas of work such as providing an opportunity for visitors to view student accommodation (show housing), producing high quality publications, and recruiting event staff and student ambassadors, allocating roles and briefing teams.

A key element of the role is to jointly lead on the university’s weekly campus tours. The postholder will be confident in preparing and delivering accurate and informative presentations and willing to deliver engaging walking tours of campus to prospective students and their guests. Co-ordinators are also responsible for predicting and securing student ambassador and show flat requirements for the coming year and accurately recording and reporting on visitor trends.

The role requires strong IT skills and either experience of using event applications, such as a Customer Relationship Management system, or a willingness to learn.

About you

You will be an experienced co-ordinator with strong event or project co-ordination skills and a commitment to delivering a high-quality visitor experience to our prospective students and their guests.

You will have excellent communication skills, with experience of working collaboratively with a wide range of internal stakeholders and external suppliers. During events, you will be confident in supervising a small team of university staff and student ambassadors on key areas of activity.
