Since 1995, we have been delivering MBA teaching at our international centre in Bahrain, and we are now proud to have expanded our activities through the establishment of an Innovation, Research, and Education Hub in partnership with S Eleven Educational. 

Our department

The Academic English Skills team plays a central role in supporting the transition of all Year 1 students into higher education study. The team provides comprehensive development in academic language and study skills for all Year 1 students across every faculty, supporting them to reach their academic potential at university. It focuses on developing key higher education skills, including academic writing conventions, effective reading strategies, seminar participation, presentations, and lecture listening and note taking.

The delivery aims to improve the accuracy, range and confidence of students’ written and spoken English, while encouraging reflection on learning and the identification of areas for improvement. It prepares students to meet the academic expectations of Year 2 and beyond. The provision is academically rigorous and designed to support students in developing the communication skills required for success within their chosen disciplines. 

The opportunity

We are seeking highly qualified candidates with significant experience in teaching English for Academic Purposes (EAP) who are committed to delivering high quality learning and teaching within a high achieving academic environment. The successful candidate will teach across the undergraduate provision and contribute to the ongoing enhancement, innovation, and academic development of the programme.
