We are seeking experienced and forward‑thinking finance professionals to support a major phase of our Finance Transformation Programme as we implement Unit4 ERPx across the University of Liverpool. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the design, configuration, and successful delivery of a new finance system that will underpin our financial operations for years to come. Reporting to one of the Heads of Finance or Deputy Director, you will take ownership of key workstreams including system configuration, integration, data migration, testing, quality assurance, and the development of new financial processes and policies.
In this influential role, you will act as a central link between Finance subject matter experts, the Finance Systems Transformation Project Team, our implementation partner, and stakeholders across the University. You will bring strong technical finance expertise and/or hands‑on experience of major finance system implementations, with the confidence to challenge, advise, and guide colleagues at all levels. Your ability to analyse complex data, manage competing priorities, and drive change will be essential, as will your commitment to continuous improvement and customer-focused service delivery. We are looking for a qualified CCAB accountant with substantial relevant experience within large and complex organisations.
If you are motivated by impactful change, enjoy collaborating across diverse teams, and want to help shape the future of finance, we would be delighted to hear from you. This is a fixed-term post, available for 18 months. Commitment to Diversity The University of Liverpool is committed to enhancing workforce diversity. We actively seek to attract, develop, and retain colleagues with diverse backgrounds and perspectives. We welcome applications from all genders/gender identities, Black, Asian, or Minority Ethnic backgrounds, individuals living with a disability, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community.
