ABOUT US AND THE TEAM
The University of Sunderland in London, based at Canary Wharf, boasts a vibrant and diverse community of staff and students. We consider ourselves as an innovative satellite campus and are constantly evolving and have exciting plans for 2026 and beyond!
We are currently piloting a four-day working week which allows our colleagues to work 32 hours over 4 days week with no reduction in pay. The pilot is part of our ongoing efforts to create a positive and inclusive workplace that promotes work-life balance and allows our colleagues to thrive professionally and personally whilst maintaining our commitment to delivering high-quality service to all our students.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Join us as a Lecturer in Fintech and Digital Finance. and help shape the next generation of industry‑ready graduates. You’ll deliver engaging, innovative teaching across our programmes, bringing real‑world tools, technologies and insights into the classroom. Working closely with colleagues and support teams, you’ll enhance the student experience, contribute to curriculum development and play an active role in industry engagement, guest lectures and employability activities. This is a great opportunity to grow your academic profile while making a real impact in a diverse, global learning community.
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role, You’re an engaging and adaptable educator with strong knowledge in Finance and Financial Technology, confident teaching in specialist areas such as programming for finance and machine learning. You bring experience delivering high‑quality learning both online and in person, using digital tools and real‑world applications to bring concepts to life. Collaborative, organised and proactive, you work well across teams, contribute to curriculum development and support a diverse student community to thrive. Above all, you’re committed to delivering an excellent student experience and continually developing your professional and academic practice.
