The University of Northampton is pleased to invite applications for the post of Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Podiatry, joining our respected team of academic and clinical educators.
We are seeking a committed, motivated individual with a foundation in podiatric practice and a genuine passion for education. This post represents an excellent opportunity for an emerging educator seeking to begin or develop an academic career, as well as for more experienced colleagues looking to shape the future of podiatry education.
The successful candidate will contribute to the design, delivery, and assessment of high‑quality learning experiences across academic levels 4–7. This will include teaching on both practical and theoretical modules, with opportunities to engage in interdisciplinary collaboration.

About you
We are seeking a dedicated and inspiring educator with the enthusiasm, creativity, and commitment needed to help shape the future of the podiatry profession. You will bring an excellent clinical foundation, a passion for supporting student development, and the motivation to contribute to an innovative and research‑informed learning environment.
Applicants must hold a BSc (Hons) in Podiatry and be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Membership of the Royal College of Podiatry is also desirable.
As an experienced practitioner with specialist knowledge of Podiatry you will demonstrate the ability to deliver high‑quality, evidence‑based teaching to undergraduate and apprenticeship students across a range of learning formats. You will contribute to face‑to‑face teaching, utilise our virtual learning environment to enhance engagement, and support the development of students to ensure the delivery of safe, effective patient care within the a clinic setting.
An interest in research, along with the ability to supervise undergraduate projects, is required. Experience in teaching and/or research supervision is desirable. You will be committed to creating an excellent student learning experience through thoughtful planning and rigorous assessment of a broad range of learning opportunities.
We also welcome applicants who are keen to develop their leadership skills and engage with wider academic responsibilities across the Faculty of Health, Education and Society and the broader University community.
