About the Opportunity:

At Arden University, we believe higher education should be accessible, flexible and transformative. As we continue to scale, delivering strong, sustainable student outcomes is central to our regulatory standing, institutional performance and long-term growth.

Arden University is seeking a senior leader to oversee the coordination, governance, and assurance of academic programmes across a regulated Higher Education environment. This role provides institution‑wide visibility of programme delivery and regulatory alignment, ensuring high‑quality provision and strong student outcomes in line with OfS and PSRB expectations.

Working closely with senior academic and professional services leaders, the Director of Student Outcomes will drive structured programme delivery, strengthen academic governance, and support evidence‑based decision‑making across the university.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the coordination of academic programmes and strategic initiatives, including curriculum and assessment reform.
  • Strengthen academic governance through robust approvals, change control, and committee reporting.
  • Produce high‑quality papers, reports, and evidence for Academic Board, Senate, and executive stakeholders.
  • Oversee programme delivery risks, dependencies, and regulatory exposure.
  • Support OfS compliance, TEF, B3 conditions, and PSRB requirements.
  • Build strong cross‑institutional relationships to ensure aligned delivery and accountability.
  • Maintain audit‑ready documentation, systems, and governance records.

Essential requirements:

  • Experience supporting or coordinating programmes in Higher Education or a regulated environment.
  • Strong understanding of academic governance, quality assurance, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Proven ability to work confidently with senior academic and executive stakeholders.
  • Excellent organisational capability and ability to manage multiple complex workstreams.
  • High‑quality written communication, including committee papers and executive reporting.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and professional judgement.
  • Confident user of Microsoft Office and digital collaboration tools.

Desirable requirements:

  • Experience with OfS regulation, TEF, B3 conditions, and PSRB standards.
  • Experience in curriculum change, assessment reform, or portfolio development.
  • Knowledge of project/programme management methodologies (PRINCE2, Agile, MSP).
  • Experience supporting senior academic committees or governance boards.
