The Corporate and Professional Services departments are the cornerstone of the University. They each provide essential and valuable support to both each other and the Academic departments, helping the University to function in the most efficient and productive way, ensuring that the students’ experience is second to none.
We are seeking a motivated and student-focused Careers Adviser to join our Student Services team and support students and alumni in achieving positive graduate outcomes.
As a professionally qualified careers specialist (Level 7 or working towards), you will deliver one-to-one Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG), employability workshops and in-curriculum sessions across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. You will work closely with academic colleagues to embed employability within the student journey and enhance career readiness within our accelerated degree model.
The role includes operational oversight of flagship initiatives such as Future You Week and the B-Enterprising Micro-Internship scheme, coordinating employer engagement, networking events and skills-based activities. You will also contribute to Graduate Outcomes data analysis and support service development through insight and evaluation.
Alongside direct student support, you will build employer relationships, manage the careers inbox and CRM platform, and contribute to social media and communications activity that promotes engagement across the University.
This is a varied and rewarding role suited to someone organised, confident in delivering group sessions and committed to making a meaningful difference to student progression. The role does not carry line management or budget responsibility but is central to delivering a high-quality, responsive careers service.
