Selwyn College wishes to appoint a Maintenance Operative to join our 12-person Maintenance Department.

Reporting to the Head of Buildings and Maintenance, the Maintenance Operative will provide assistance to all trades in the Maintenance Department. A focus of this role is to undertake monthly portable appliance testing (PAT) of electrical equipment, testing of emergency lights and water temperature monitoring, but the post-holder will also be asked to undertake and assist in a wide variety of other maintenance tasks.

The learning and development opportunities offered by this role would be well-suited to someone considering or just starting out on a general maintenance or trades career. If you are a conscientious with an eye for detail, we would like to meet you. Previous experience in professional maintenance/works setting would be an advantage, but full training will be provided.
