We are seeking to appoint a Mary Rees Fellow (Senior Postdoctoral Research Associate).
You will be working on a project funded by XTX Markets with the members of the Dynamical Systems group: Dr Toby Hall, Dr David Martí-Pete and Dr Daniel Meyer. This research group is part of the Pure Mathematics section at the Department of Mathematical Sciences of the University of Liverpool.
The members of the Dynamical Systems group work in several areas of topological and complex dynamics, which include:
You should have a PhD in pure mathematics or in another relevant quantitative subject. You should have research experience in Dynamical Systems or adjacent fields. Preference will be given to candidates whose research interests align with those of the Dynamical Systems group. You should demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to write clearly and succinctly for publication.
We are committed to supporting the career development of Postdoctoral Research Associates. You will have the opportunity to have research visits and to attend conferences to present the results from your work. You will be appointed in the Department of Mathematical Sciences, which is part of the School of Physical Sciences.
The expected start date is between 1 September and 31 December 2026 for 30 months.
