About the Role
We are looking to recruit a ELearning Technologist to join the Institute of Denistry. The Technologist for institution-wide learning applications such as the virtual learning environment (Moodle), and lecture recording system (Echo 360).
The Learning Technologist will take responsibility for several digital learning platforms or tools and work collaboratively on projects or strands of work to help deliver the education priorities. They will support staff at all levels of the School by providing expert technological and pedagogical advice and guidance in the use of digital technologies and by developing and delivering training and development activities.
About You
Experience in supporting and enhancing teaching, learning and assessment with technology, including technical and/or pedagogical support, in face-to-face or distance learning settings.
Experience in working with a variety of learning technologies, including VLEs (Moodle desirable) at both user and administrator level.
About the Institute
In 2014 we opened the first new dental school and hospital in the UK for 40 years, the stunning £78m Royal London Dental Hospital, incorporating some of the most technologically advanced dental facilities in the country. Furthermore, we have invested 1.8 million in haptic technology, with 42 Simodont haptic dental trainers the most simulators in the world, with dedicated space and staff to support this type of enhanced learning.
