Expressing Value in Language (EVIL) is an ERC-funded project investigating evaluative adjectives (‘good’, ‘bad’, ‘beautiful’, ‘tasty’, etc.) from the perspective of philosophy, theoretical linguistics and empirical linguistics. The project aims to give an account of the meanings of these adjectives, along with the nature of goodness and other forms of value.
