Oxford Population Health (the Nuffield Department of Population Health, University of Oxford) is a global pioneer and leader in population health science. The department has over 1000 staff, students and academic visitors who work together to investigate the causes and prevention of disease and lead human health forward.
As Biological Sample and Facilities Supervisor you will be responsible for a range of duties relating to the sample management activities of the Laboratories including systems, testing and maintenance, training of staff, documentation and organisation of the on-call rota. The role is based across the NDPH bio-storage areas located in the NDPH Wolfson Laboratories and at off-site sample storage facilities based in Oxford, near Thame and Milton Keynes.
To be considered, you will hold a relevant life science degree (or similar level qualification) or have equivalent experience and relevant experience working in a clinical laboratory or working with biological samples in a regulated laboratory. You will also have experience of actively engaging with writing and reviewing documentation as well as strong proven team working and communication skills.
The position is full time (part time considered) and fixed term for 2 years.
