The School of ESOL is a highly successful area of the College. Provision includes full time and part time general ESOL courses for adults and young learners, Functional Maths, Job Centre Plus and other commercial work with external partners.
Reporting to the Head of School for ESOL, as one of two Section Managers you would primarily be responsible for the School’s adult ESOL, Functional Maths, Job Centre Plus and other commercial courses. You would line manage a team of lecturers, share cross-School responsibilities with other Section Managers, and teach on a range of programmes.
A relevant degree/professional qualification is essential, together with an English Language Teaching qualification (e.g. CELTA, DELTA, Dip TESOL, MA ELT) a minimum Level 5 teaching qualification recognised by the FE sector (PGCE, DET or equivalent). You should also have experience in delivering ESOL courses and have good leadership skills, with experience of supervising a team in Further Education or a similar setting.
