We’re expanding our Clinical Psychology Doctoral training provision and are excited to invite new academics to join our dynamic Clinical and Health Psychology Research Team. You’ll be part of a friendly, innovative group at the University of Surrey’s School of Psychology which is an institution known for excellence in applied psychology training and impactful research.

We’re looking for early career and established researchers with a profile in cutting-edge clinical, mental, or physical health psychology. We will be seeking individuals with a clear vision of their research career and, if further on in their career, we will be looking for a proven ability to secure funding that drives real-world change for individuals, families, organisations, or communities. We welcome applicants from Clinical, Health, or Community Psychology or related mental health fields and whose expertise complements or strengthens our current research areas.

As part of a vibrant department with a strong research culture, you’ll play a key role in postgraduate and doctoral teaching, research supervision, and contributing to the PsychD programme and wider School. Experience in qualitative, quantitative, or mixed-methods research is welcome.

Applicants must hold a doctorate in psychology (or equivalent) and be ready to contribute across research, teaching, and programme administration. 

Appointments will be offered at Lecturer A, Lecturer B, or Senior Lecturer level depending on experience (see job profiles below for more information). The salary range for a Lecturer A starts from £42,254, Lecturer B from £47,389, and Senior Lecturer from £58,225.
