Location: University Park
Applications are invited for the above post based within the Education Centre, School of Medicine. This position will be based at the University of Nottingham Medical School at Derby, Royal Derby Hospital for the remainder of the current 2025-26 academic year. From August 2026 onwards this position will relocate on a permanent basis to the University Park campus and the Medical School Building at Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham.
About the role:
You will deliver consistent and excellent teaching in Biomedical Sciences, with a focus on pathology, to students on our Graduate Entry and Undergraduate BMBS and BSc programmes. You will deliver teaching and assessment, convene modules, supervise undergraduate projects, contribute to quality assurance and support the student experience. You will provide excellent teaching and support for student learning that is underpinned by scholarship related to the discipline.
This is a permanent, full time post (36.25 hours per week).

You will be part of the wider teaching team, working with our students in small and large group settings, supporting their academic, personal and professional development. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established team that is helping to shape our future doctors.
About you:
You must have a PhD or equivalent experience in Biomedical Sciences (with specialist interest in pathology). You will have extensive knowledge and experience in your subject and will have the ability to communicate with clarity on complex and conceptual ideas to those with limited knowledge and understanding. You will have demonstrable experience of developing and delivering teaching and assessment within an agreed quality framework and will have proven experience in providing pastoral support to students.
