This post supports the delivery of City St George’s institution-wide Career Activation Programme, embedding professional-level experience within the curriculum. The role is education- focused and is offered on a 12-month fixed-term basis as parental leave cover. The School of Policy and Global Affairs (SPGA) is an internationally recognised centre for research and teaching in social sciences, home to around 3000 students across Economics, Sociology & Criminology, and International Politics.
The postholder will lead and deliver employability education across SPGA, including undergraduate and postgraduate modules. They will coordinate professional-level learning opportunities, notably the SPGA Industry Projects Module, work closely with academic and professional services colleagues, and develop partnerships with external organisations to enhance student employability and graduate outcomes.
We are seeking a motivated individual with experience in employability education, higher education teaching, or relevant professional practice.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong curriculum design skills, excellent communication and organisational abilities, and an understanding of employability learning in higher education. Experience working with external partners and supporting student professional development is highly desirable.
