The Opportunity
The Lecturer will contribute to undergraduate teaching within the Australian Centre for Jewish Civilisation, focusing on Jewish history, the Holocaust, the Arab-Israeli conflict, Jewish cultural studies and the modern Middle East. The role will support the Jewish Studies and Holocaust and Genocide Studies minor through lectures, seminars, and tutorials, while contributing to curriculum development, assessment, and subject coordination.
The position involves research and scholarly activity, supervising and supporting students, and collaborating with colleagues across the Centre. You will participate in academic and administrative service that supports the Faculty’s teaching and research mission.
As the successful candidate, you will bring expertise in one or more of these areas and a strong commitment to high-quality teaching and student engagement. You will be able to communicate complex ideas clearly and create engaging learning experiences. You will also demonstrate a developing or established research profile and a collaborative approach, supporting the continued growth of the Australian Centre for Jewish Civilisation.
