We have an exciting opportunity for a Research Assistant/Associate to join the School of Psychology & Neuroscience, working in the visual neuroscience research area under the supervision of Dr Matthew Self (Principal Investigator).
The post holder will make essential contributions to a research programme focused on understanding the function of feedback projections in the visual cortex. The candidate will use techniques such as Neuropixels recordings, two-photon imaging and optogenetics to investigate the information content of top-down projections in the mouse visual system.
The successful candidate will have extensive skills in investigating neural processing and experience with recording neural activity in animal models. They will be self-motivated in designing and executing experiments, with a proven track record in neuroscientific studies.
This post is full-time (35 hours per week) and has funding available for up to 36 months.
