This is an exciting opportunity to join an established team, within Research & Impact Services.
The Research Support Officer is a varied role that extends across research applications and contracts, involving the costing and submission of bids, negotiation of contracts and the co-ordination of internal approval processes.
The role will not only appeal to someone working in a research support environment but also to individuals who have keen interest in seeking to begin a career in this professional services area.
About You
Successful candidates will have a good honours degree (or equivalent), the proven ability to work across a high-volume portfolio, and a genuine interest in supporting researchers to achieve their funding goals.
You must have highly developed IT and numerical skills and the ability to do calculations, manipulate and present financial data using spreadsheets. You will have the ability to communicate, negotiate and influence effectively, at all levels, creating professional relationships.
We are seeking a highly motivated, committed, effective and supportive team member, able to work flexibly and creatively, and quickly and accurately when under pressure, working to tight deadlines
