Based within the Institute of Sport, the team works across disciplines to design, evaluate and implement innovative health and wellbeing interventions. About the role: 

We are seeking a motivated Senior Research Assistant (Quantitative) to support the delivery of collaborative research projects within the Manchester Metropolitan and Nuffield Health Partnership. The role will focus on quantitative data collection, analysis and interpretation, alongside supporting the development of research proposals, ethics applications and dissemination of findings.   

You will work closely with academic colleagues and stakeholders, contributing to project reporting, publications and presentations, while helping to ensure research is delivered to a high standard and within agreed timelines. The post is full-time and fixed term until 31 December 2027 and will involve occasional travel to partner sites across the UK. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to further develop their research career within a high impact applied research setting.   

About the candidate: 

We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive researcher with strong quantitative skills and a keen interest in health and wellbeing or behaviour change research. You will hold a postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline and have experience of conducting quantitative research, including data collection, analysis and interpretation.  

You will be confident using statistical software and research tools and able to communicate complex information clearly to a range of audiences. Experience of contributing to research proposals, ethics applications and academic publications would be advantageous.  

You will be highly organised, able to manage you own workloads and work collaboratively within a team, using initiative and problem-solving skills to support the successful delivery of research projects.
