The role
1.0 FTE fixed term post for 44 months to February 2030.
We are seeking a pro-active, self-motivated and highly organised team player to provide research project administrative support and some PA support to a friendly team within the School of Health Sciences (SHS) at the University of Surrey. The successful applicant will be responsible for the smooth running of CARES-Well, a National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) national research project that aims to improve the wellbeing of the UK healthcare workforce.
The successful applicant will be based at the University of Surrey and part of a national team working across multiple organisations; with a project manager and academics, in partnership with NHS senior leaders, clinical and non -clinical staff, and other key stakeholders.
You will be responsible for the efficient running of key administrative elements of this large-scale project, with supervision and support from an experienced team including the project manager. Providing some PA support (e.g. diary management, raising purchase orders and filing expenses) for Professors Cath Taylor and Jill Maben is also part of the role. About you
The successful applicant will require a flexible and proactive approach to their work with excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently within a face to face and remote team culture. Attention to detail with good organisation and planning skills with a good working knowledge of MS Word, Excel spreadsheets are essential. They will demonstrate confidentiality, excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills and the ability to work proactively and using their initiative. Previous experience in an administrative role is essential and of working within a University or NHS setting advantageous.
