Assistant Professor in Statistics (Tenure Track)

Bocconi University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level in Statistics. The department welcomes candidates specializing in Statistics, Machine Learning, or Probability. The preferred start date is September 2026, with possible flexibility to February 2027.

The position is based in a dynamic research environment covering Statistics, Data Science, Machine Learning, Probability, and Mathematical Analysis. The successful candidate will also be affiliated with the Bocconi Institute for Data Science and Analytics, a leading center for data-driven research.

Requirements:  

• PhD in a relevant field (completed or near completion)
• Strong research potential

Responsibilities:  

• Develop a high-quality research publication record
• Contribute to departmental academic activities
• Teach at undergraduate and graduate levels
