At London College of Contemporary Arts (LCCA), we deliver industry-led, student-focused education designed to prepare graduates for successful careers in the global hospitality sector.

We are seeking experienced and inspiring Subject Leads in Hospitality Management & Leadership to take ownership of curriculum design, teaching excellence and student outcomes across our BA Hospitality programme.

This is a key academic leadership role where you will shape the student experience, support teaching teams and drive continuous improvement across the subject area.

The Role

As Subject Lead, you will play a central role in the design, development and delivery of the Hospitality curriculum, working closely with the Course Director to ensure high-quality teaching and strong student outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead the design, development and delivery of modules across Hospitality programmes (Levels 4–6, with exposure to Level 7 desirable)
  • Deliver teaching across your specialist subject area, maintaining a high-quality student experience
  • Support and guide lecturers to ensure consistency, quality and innovation in teaching and assessment
  • Oversee assessment design, marking standards and feedback quality (standardisation)
  • Contribute to curriculum development, validation and continuous improvement
  • Provide academic and pastoral support to students, monitoring progress and engagement
  • Build and maintain strong industry links to enhance teaching with real-world insight
  • Support the Course Director with course management, exam boards and academic planning
  • Contribute to course monitoring reports and quality assurance processes
  • Engage in research, scholarly activity or professional practice

About You

You are a confident academic with strong subject expertise and a passion for teaching, leadership and student success.

Essential

  • Relevant degree and postgraduate qualification (or equivalent professional experience)
  • Experience teaching in Higher Education within Hospitality or a related discipline
  • Experience in curriculum design and development
  • Strong understanding of assessment practices and quality standards in HE
  • Ability to lead, support and collaborate effectively with academic teams
  • Commitment to inclusive, student-centred teaching practices

Desirable

  • PhD or higher-level research degree
  • Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA)
  • Teaching qualification (PGCert or equivalent)
  • Experience building industry partnerships or external collaborations
