Estates and Campus Services Marketing, Communications, and Business Development support a number of campus-based services within the University including Accommodation Essex, Event Essex, Essex Sport, Essex Rebels, Wivenhoe House Hotel, Wivenhoe Park Day Nursery, and Essex Food.
Duties of the Role
An exciting opportunity is available in our Marketing and Communications Team for a talented and committed Marketing Officer. We are seeking an individual to lead the marketing strategy and implementation for Accommodation Essex and other business units within UESC. Developing innovative and inspirational ways to capture the attention of our customers, including University staff and students and external business customers.
Skills and qualifications required
A highly organised and creative marketing professional with experience in planning and delivering integrated marketing campaigns across a broad range of channels, including digital platforms such as social media, email marketing, and online content. Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships and provide clear guidance and support to student staff or junior team members.
Demonstrates strong organisational and administrative capabilities, with a proven ability to prioritise workload, manage competing deadlines, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Knowledgeable in current marketing trends and digital marketing practices, with a proactive approach to applying new ideas and improving campaign performance.
Brings a creative and strategic mindset to marketing activity, with the confidence to take initiative while also supporting and coordinating the work of others. Committed to fostering a collaborative team environment and contributing to the development of less experienced colleagues.
