Department/Location: Department of Physics, West Cambridge
The Department of Physics is looking to recruit a Teaching Associate to primarily contribute to and further develop the practical teaching in Physics for undergraduate students, and to contribute to the organisation and running of the practicals, as well as the wider teaching organisation and teaching programme within the Department.
The successful candidate will have a PhD in experimental physics (or related area), and experience in practical teaching at University level (for instance as a demonstrator, teaching associate or head of class etc), or equivalent demonstrable experience and/or an appropriate teaching qualification.
The role falls under the teaching and scholarship track of the University of Cambridge. For more information about promotion procedures etc. see:

Given the demands of teaching cycles and examination periods, the role requires a degree of flexibility regarding working patterns and the ability to adjust priorities when needed.
