Nanyang Centre for Public Administration (NCPA) at NTU Singapore is a leading institution in Asia that provides quality education and research in public governance and administration development as well as promotes good governance in the region and beyond. We offer 6 programs, in English and Chinese, to meet the education needs at early, mid, and advanced career stages. Faculty on the Teaching Track is expected to teach well and contribute to NCPA’s education objectives.

The Nanyang Technological University (NTU) invites applications for the position of Senior Lecturer/Lecturer in public governance, public policy and public administration at the NCPA.

Faculty on the Teaching Track will report to Director, NCPA and is expected to teach and contribute to NCPA’s educational objectives. NCPA is expanding the course offerings of its programs.  

The successful candidate reports to Director, NCPA and will be expected to:

  • contribute to teaching and course development for the Master of Public Administration, and Master of China and Global Governance Program in NCPA, as well as related activities such as supervision of teaching practice, and thesis supervision and examination;
  • undertake administrative and/or leadership roles and contribute to other service-related activities at the department or institution level;
  • develop a robust research agenda and maintain a strong publication record that create impact in the discipline and/or educational practice;

Candidates with the following qualifications are encouraged to apply:

  • PhD in Public Policy, Public Administration, Management, or other related degrees.
  • Ability to teach postgraduate-level courses in English and/or Chinese, such as policy analysis and evaluation, budgeting and finance, leadership and decision sciences, politics and institutions, digital governance, AI and industrial development, or related areas.
  • A record of teaching similar subjects in tertiary educational institutes is strongly preferred.
  • Interest in developing new courses in your specialization. Providing 2-3 synopsis of courses you have not taught but are keen to teach is strongly encouraged.
  • Demonstrated potential for scholarship in a research area undertaken by NCPA is an advantage. These areas include (but are not limited to) Global Asia, AI and public policy, etc.
  • Candidates for the Senior Lecturer position should have extensive experience in the relevant areas of teaching and course development.
