About the role
The Senior Marketing & Communications Officer will lead the planning and coordination of campaigns and content that promote KC&E’s services, engage student audiences, and increase awareness of opportunities available to them.
Working across a range of channels, including social media, web and email, you will develop and deliver engaging, audience-focused marketing and communications that encourage students to connect with KC&E activities and resources. You will work closely with colleagues across the department and the wider university to ensure activity is joined-up, timely and impactful, and reflects the needs and experiences of our diverse student community.
Collaboration is a key part of the role, and you will build strong working relationships with teams across KC&E, KCLSU and central services to support major campaigns and initiatives throughout the year. You will also use data and insight to continuously improve how we reach and engage students.
The role includes providing day-to-day direction and support to a Marketing & Communications Assistant, contributing to recruitment, onboarding and ongoing development to ensure a high standard of delivery across the team.
This is an exciting opportunity for candidates looking to develop and deliver creative, multi-channel marketing and communications in a collaborative and fast-paced environment, and who want to make a tangible impact on student engagement and outcomes.
We think a wide range of different work and educational experiences could support you to be successful in this role. Relevant work experience might include work in marketing and communications, digital marketing, content creation, campaign delivery or stakeholder engagement. Relevant educational experiences might include higher education in a related discipline, professional qualifications or other training.
We encourage applications from candidates both within and outside of the Higher Education sector who can demonstrate the skills needed to succeed in this role.
This is a full time post (35 hours per week), and you will be offered an indefinite contract.
