It is anticipated that NIHR recognition will be sought for any individuals appointed to these roles.

Both types of Clinical Lectureships are designed to offer postdoctoral support for a clinician having recently completed a higher degree (PhD, MD or equivalent). Trainees must also have a National Training Number (NTN) prior to starting the post. The University invites exceptional and ambitious applicants to join our successful Integrated Academic Training (IAT) programme which was awarded to the Faculty by the National Institute of Health Research Trainee Academy. Successful candidates will be expected to have evidence of clinical leadership.

The post will be funded on a full-time basis for the duration of remaining specialty training (until CCT) or a maximum of 4-years, whichever is soonest. Appointments will be subject to satisfactory annual review. You will spend 50% of your time undertaking research and developing your academic skills and 50% time completing specialty training.
