About the Role:
The School of Medicine, established in 2018, has successfully graduated three cohorts of doctors and continues to grow. To ensure consistency and quality across all assessments, maintain responsiveness to regulatory change and student feedback, and support students’ preparedness for the national Medical Licensing Assessment (MLA), the School is appointing a Deputy Assessment Lead. The postholder will be responsible for the operational planning, delivery and quality assurance of formative and summative assessments across all five years of the undergraduate medical degree programme.
With a Degree and MBChB or equivalent and registration with the GMC, you will have demonstrable teaching experience at higher education level, and ideally experience of assessments in medical education, with an understanding of the requirements newly qualified doctors as outlined by the GMC Outcomes for Graduates and the Medical Licencing Assessment. Strong communication skills are essential, as well as an ability to meet deadlines sometimes under pressure. Leadership experience will be a benefit.
