The Digital Determinants of Health Hub is seeking to appoint a Research Fellow to contribute to a research programme examining how digital environments influence adolescent health.
The postholder will lead the analysis of the UK Household Longitudinal Study data, working to a preregistered Statistical Analysis Plan. The research applies target trial emulation, to generate robust and policy-relevant evidence. Working closely with the research team, the postholder will implement analyses, produce reproducible outputs, & contribute to peer-reviewed publications and engagement with government stakeholders, including the Department for Science, Innovation & Technology.
Applicants should hold a doctoral degree in public health, epidemiology, or a related discipline, and have strong experience in longitudinal data analysis & advanced causal inference methods (e.g., inverse probability weighting, or doubly robust approaches). They should be confident working with large-scale datasets in R or Stata, including data management and multiple imputation, and committed to producing transparent, reproducible research. The postholder will demonstrate strong organisational skills and deliver high-quality outputs to tight deadlines.
The post is full-time 35 hours per week, 1.0 FTE & fixed-term for 10 months. Extension beyond this period may be possible, subject to programme needs. The post is funded by the Wellcome Trust and is available to start as soon as possible.
The salary will be on the LSHTM salary scale, Grade 6 in the range £45,728 - £51,872 per annum pro rata (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro-rata for part-time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary “Wellbeing Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available. The post is based in London at LSHTM.
