Job description:
Data Connect, a Centre of Excellence within The University of Sheffield, is seeking a talented Delivery lead/ Research Project Manager to lead the creation and delivery of complex, impactful health data products. We facilitate researcher access to vital health and social care data, directly contributing to research that enhances and saves lives across our region.
This pivotal role ensures the delivery of data products and research across the Yorkshire and Humber Secure Data Environment (YHSDE) programme, specifically supporting the South Yorkshire Delivery Team. You will be the key liaison, working across organisational boundaries to simplify complex data access and delivery processes for researchers.
You will oversee the end-to-end data product pipeline, ensuring technical engineering and legal governance requirements are translated into clear, achievable delivery plans. Collaborating closely with the Data Connect Service Lead and other Research Project Managers, you will act as the SY SDE delivery teams team’s primary "enabler," facilitating agile ceremonies, including sprints, stand-ups, and retrospectives, while optimising JIRA workflows. Beyond day-to-day coordination, you will drive service design improvements and partner with the Data Management team to streamline data collection and resolve complex workstream obstacles.
You'll be part of a collaborative team, where open communication, proactive problem-solving, and commitment to delivering high-quality results are essential. If you're ready to contribute to impactful research and thrive in a dynamic environment, we encourage you to apply!
We are committed to exploring flexible working opportunities which benefit the individual and University.
