This post is full time (35 hours per week) and has funding available until 31 January 2029.
The James Watt School of Engineering are seeking a Research Associate who will contribute to an EC project entitled: “Quantum-optic Silicon as a Commodity: Extending the Trust Continuum Till the Edge of ICT Networks” with Dr Ross Millar and Prof Douglas Paul. This work will involve the design and simulation of Single Photon Avalanche Diodes (SPADs) using TCAD software packages and custom software to predict SPAD specific performance metrics.
In this role, the successful candidate will also be expected to contribute to the formulation and submission of research publications and research proposals as well as help manage and direct this complex and challenging project/disciplinary area as opportunities allow.
