We have an exciting opportunity for a proactive and highly motivated individual to directly enhance our capacity and capabilities to identify and commercialise Intellectual Property (IP) within the University.
The Research and Commercialisation Manager will play a key role in developing commercial opportunities arising from IP generated within the University of Huddersfield. Working within the Research and Innovation Directorate at the University and alongside academic colleagues, the post holder will manage a wide portfolio of opportunities across the commercialisation life-cycle.
You will possess exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to ascertain and understand the opportunities emerging from the University’s research base. You will have thorough knowledge of the commercial assessment of early-stage IP, alongside a demonstrable track record in delivering innovation processes within a higher-education setting or commercial environment. You will also be comfortable in supporting the IP protection process and supporting discussions from early stage to investor-ready opportunities.
We offer an excellent employment package, including hybrid working, blending a mix of remote and on-campus working (dependent on work duties).
The University is deeply committed to equality and diversity for all its students and staff. We seek to be diverse and inclusive, supporting individuals and groups to fulfil their potential and nurture a sense of belonging.
