We are recruiting an Ethics Study Coordinator who can assist with the writing and submission of research applications (e.g. using IRAS). You will need to be an experienced user of Microsoft Office 365 and have knowledge of Information Governance, Good Clinical Practice and the UK General Data Protection Regulation as well as excellent interpersonal & communication skills to succeed in this role.

About the job:

The role of the Ethics Study Coordinator is to support the management of the documentation for the research studies/research tissue bank, including preparing and submitting amendments and dissemination of updated paperwork to Tissue Collection Centres or Study Sites involved in recruitment.

The role holder will be expected to draft and review ethics documents, such as Participant Information Sheets (PIS), and Consent Forms (CF) to ensure that they comply with NIHR BioResource standards.

This post-holder will assist in ensuring that all NIHR BioResource activities are undertaken in accordance with UK Statutory requirements and principles of Good Clinical Practice (GCP).

About you:

Ideally you will have: 

  • Experience in an administrative role 
  • Experience in document control
  • Excellent planning, organisational and attention to detail skills

The post is available on a fixed-term basis until 31 March 2028 in the first instance. NIHR BioResource is funded by the National Institute for Health & Care Research (NIHR) on a 4-year funding cycle.

Our offices are on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus CB2 0QQ (approximately 2 miles south of the city centre).
