Lecturer in Business – Foundation Level 3 7089496

London College of Contemporary Arts

New Year, New Career?

We’re looking for a passionate and student-centred Lecturer in Business (Foundation Level 3) to join our growing academic team in January 2026.

If you’re an inspiring educator with a talent for helping students take their first steps into higher education — and for bringing business concepts to life through real-world learning — this is your opportunity to make a genuine difference in learners’ lives.

About the Course

Our Foundation Level 3 Business course provides the essential academic, practical, and personal skills students need to progress into higher education and the creative industries. It’s designed for students who may be returning to learning, changing careers, or developing their confidence before progressing onto our FdA or BA programmes.

You’ll play a key role in supporting students’ transition into higher education — helping them build core business knowledge, academic literacy, and study skills, while nurturing their creativity, curiosity, and professional awareness.

The Role

  • Deliver engaging and inclusive teaching across the Level 3 Business curriculum.
  • Design and update course materials and assessments that develop academic confidence and employability.
  • Provide academic and pastoral support, helping students progress to degree-level study.
  • Use experiential and reflective teaching methods to make learning interactive and relevant.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to continually enhance the curriculum and student experience.
  • Embed digital learning tools and practical projects to connect theory with real-world application.

About You

You’re a supportive, motivating educator with a passion for helping learners realise their potential. You bring a blend of academic and/or industry experience and a commitment to inclusive, hands-on learning.

Essential:

  • A BA and postgraduate qualification (or equivalent professional experience) in Business or a related subject.
  • Experience teaching or supporting students at Foundation, FE, or early HE levels.
  • Strong understanding of academic development, study skills, and student transition.
  • Inclusive, empathetic approach with excellent communication and organisational skills.

Desirable:

  • Teaching qualification (PGCert or equivalent) or willingness to obtain one.
  • Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (or working towards it).
  • Experience supporting widening-participation or non-traditional learners.

Why Join LCCA?

  • Teach in a diverse, creative, and inclusive community.
  • Shape your teaching schedule — weekdays, evenings, or weekends.
  • Access support for professional development and research.
  • Help students take the first step in their higher-education journey.

Apply now and inspire the next generation of business learners.
