We are looking to recruit a Postdoctoral Research Associate to work on an EPSRC Centre-to-Centre grant with Imperial College London and the Acceleration Consortium, namely “International asynchronous AI-led chemical optimisation across chemistry laboratories”. This role sits at the intersection of robotics, machine learning, and chemistry, aiming to develop robotic systems that work asynchronously in different global, human-centric labs.
You will be based within Dr. Pizzuto’s group at the University of Liverpool, situated in the state-of-the-art Digital Innovation Facility and the School of Computer Science and Informatics. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the heart of a world-leading research hub, utilising our dedicated robotics chemistry laboratory and collaborating closely with Professor. Andy Cooper’s group to pioneer autonomous chemistry workflows.
This post is fixed term from 1st July 2026 until 30th June 2028.
If you are still awaiting your PhD to be awarded you will be appointed at Grade 6, spine point 30. Upon written confirmation that you have been awarded your PhD, your salary will be increased to Grade 7, spine point 31.
