We are open to applicants with experience in all areas of law. We are particularly interested in receiving applications from qualified lawyers (solicitors and barristers) with experience in business, commercial, corporate, wills & equity, crime, property (land & real estate), advocacy and intellectual property.

We offer full-time, permanent roles working 35 hours per week and are also open to considering candidates seeking part-time hours (minimum commitment of 0.6 FTE / 21 hours per week).

As a Lecturer/ Senior Lecturer at ULawyou will:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and support for learning, working collaboratively with colleagues to continuously enhance teaching and student support, while assessing student work and progress through the preparation and marking of formative and summative assessments, and providing constructive feedback and feedforward.
  • Identify the need for developing the content, structure, assessment within modules with colleagues and make proposals on how this should be achieved.
  • Contribute to effective design and review of inclusive learning. Maintain quality standards and regulations in curricular design.
  • Act as a module lecturer, academic coach and sign-post students on pastoral aspects during their learning journey.

Do you bring a strong breadth and depth of professional experience within your discipline, with the ability to design and deliver high-quality teaching programmes while providing impactful student support?

Requirements for Lecturer positions:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent in a relevant subject
  • Fellowship of Advance HE (HEA) or equivalent or willingness to work towards
  • Relevant teaching qualification or willingness to work towards PGCHE

Requirements for Senior Lecturer positions:

  • Postgraduate qualification or equivalent in a relevant subject
  • Fellowship of Advance HE (HEA)
  • PgCHE or equivalent

In addition to a competitive salary of £40,500–£42,500 for Lecturers and £49,000–£54,000 for Senior Lecturers (with a £4,300 London weighting allowance for London-based roles), we offer a generous annual leave entitlement of 35 days plus Bank Holidays, along with a rewards package that includes:
