The Department of Finance and Computer Science at the University of Winchester is currently seeking a Lecturer in Computer Science. The successful candidate will be joining a department whose strategy is rooted in providing an inclusive, empowering, and transformative education to our students and delivering an interdisciplinary research agenda that yields fresh and sustainable contributions with impact. We also engage with business and society to help them shape talent and flourish sustainably.
The ideal candidate will have teaching experience in subjects including, but not limited to Computer Architectures, High Performance Computational Simulation, Distributed Systems and the Internet of Things, Disruptive Open-Source Development, DevOps for Organisations and will have supervised dissertations at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The post-holder will be an excellent communicator and be a team-player.
An interest in, and a capacity for, applied research is desirable as well as a commitment to the successful employability of our students. Experience of module management is essential as the candidate will be responsible for module leadership of a range of modules in Computer Science.
