Job Responsibilities:
The Fire Safety Manager is responsible for the supervision of all fire related Contractors whilst on-site, ensuring any remedial work identified is logged and managed until completion. The role involves responsibility for the management of fire safety throughout the College in line with The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, including the servicing of the Fire Alarms System, Fire Fighting Equipment, Emergency Lights and completion of periodic internal testing and maintaining fire safety documentation, together with the Management of fire drills.
Person Specification Summary:
The successful candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of fire safety, ideally in an education setting. They need to have gained industry recognised qualifications such as NEBOSH Certificate in Fire Safety/ IOSH along with experience in working in listed buildings. The individual needs to be professional, organised and methodical along with good communication skills. You will be expected to show reliability, discretion and trustworthiness at all times. You will be a professional with the ability to not only work under your own initiative, but also set an example for others.
