Due to the complexity of the Skilled Worker Visa route and eligibility criteria, applicants requiring sponsorship are recommended to check their eligibility on the Home Office website. We cannot provide advice to candidates at the application stage and will only discuss visa routes with candidates who are invited to interview.

We are seeking a proactive and student-focused Student Funding and Success Administrator to join our Student Financial Support and Customer Service team within Student Experience and Education.

This is an important role supporting the delivery of financial support to current and prospective students, helping to enhance student financial wellbeing and contribute to student success and continuation.

The role:

Working closely with the Student Funding Manager and wider Student Financial Support team, you will be responsible for administering bursaries and scholarships, particularly those funded through the University’s Access and Participation Plan. You will assess applications for support, maintain accurate financial records, produce detailed reports, and provide clear, timely advice to students.

You will also play a key role in supporting the University’s investment in student financial wellbeing, including the operational use of tools such as Blackbullion RetainIQ to help identify and assist students at risk of withdrawal due to financial pressures. In addition, you will lead on communication campaigns that promote financial wellbeing resources available to students.

The post-holder will contribute to policy development, service improvement and digital transformation, working as a co-creator on new processes and systems to ensure a high-quality student experience. You will help maintain Student Financial Support web content and respond to enquiries from students, staff and external bodies via ServiceNow and one-to-one appointments.

You will also support evaluation activity, including the annual student financial support survey, data analysis, and collaboration with colleagues on focus groups. The role includes representing the team at Welcome Week, Open Days and other events, delivering presentations to prospective students on financial support.

You will have

  • You will have excellent organisational skills
  • Strong attention to detail and confidence working with data and systems
  • You’ll be an effective communicator, able to explain complex information sensitively
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Experience of financial support administration, reporting, and working with large datasets would be an advantage.

This is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference to students’ lives by supporting access, participation and success through targeted financial support in a supportive and forward-thinking team.
