The Department of Psychology is delighted to invite applications for a Lecturer in Counselling and Psychotherapy to join our warm, collaborative and forward‑thinking academic community. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to, shape and enhance the department’s teaching and research through professional practice, scholarly expertise and teamwork.
Candidates will be qualified to deliver training to undergraduate and postgraduate students. Candidates may be in the early stages of their academic career but should demonstrate an established track record of research excellence and publications appropriate for their stage. Candidates should also possess a track record in securing research funding, or the potential to attract such funding, with a clear ambition to develop programmes of research that will be recognised internationally as excellent.
You will be joining an open, inclusive and supportive group of psychologists who are deeply committed to student success and to delivering accredited undergraduate and postgraduate Psychology programmes. Some experience of teaching at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level is expected, and we particularly value applicants who enjoy working collaboratively, mentoring students, and contributing to a positive academic culture.
