About The Post

This  post is full time and permanent, working 35 hours per week.

We are seeking to appoint a talented individual to join our AV Service team. In this user-facing role, you will provide high-quality on-site support, installation, and maintenance of audiovisual (AV) systems, ensuring a reliable and seamless experience for teaching, learning, and collaboration across the University.

You will act as a key technical specialist, responding promptly and effectively to service requests, conducting routine inspections, and maintaining operational excellence across more than 400 teaching and meeting spaces. This role requires a keen eye for detail, enabling you to identify and resolve issues proactively, uphold system standards, and ensure that all AV environments remain fully functional, accessible, and optimised.

As a subject matter expert, you will support colleagues by offering clear and informed technical guidance, producing accurate and accessible documentation, and contributing to the ongoing enhancement of AV services. Your work will play a vital role in delivering dependable, modern technology solutions that support the University’s academic and professional community.

The position offers significant opportunities for professional development. You will gain hands-on experience with a broad range of AV and IT technologies while working collaboratively with senior AV specialists, project teams, and colleagues across the institution. You will be supported in developing your technical expertise, strengthening your professional capabilities, and building a comprehensive understanding of large-scale AV infrastructure.

We are particularly interested in individuals who are proactive, highly organised, customer-focused, and demonstrate a strong attention to detail. A commitment to delivering high standards of service and a genuine interest in enhancing technology-enabled environments are essential.

This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a forward-thinking University and make a meaningful impact on the student and colleague experience.
