Abertay is a modern university with a global outlook, rooted in its local and national communities. We have made our mark with high quality, well-directed teaching and research, and a stimulating and enriching experience for our students.
The Faculty of Design, Informatics and Business is the home of Abertay’s degree programmes in law, accounting and finance, business and marketing, cybersecurity, applied computer science, computer games and digital arts. Abertay was the first University in the world to offer degrees in Computer Games Technology and Ethical Hacking, we are recognised as education leaders internationally in games and nationally in cybersecurity, and our business programmes are a major part of our transnational education (TNE) provision.
Reporting to the Vice-Principal (Faculty of Design, Informatics and Business), you will provide academic leadership in teaching quality and learning enhancement (TQLE) pertaining to our TNE portfolio. In the role you will oversee the academic quality of that portfolio and its academic delivery within the Faculty, taking a leading role in quality assurance and quality enhancement.
We are particularly interested in interviewing candidates with experience in building and managing TNE programmes and partnerships, and of policy formation and strategic development within the academic and/or other communities relating to TNE.
The Faculty of Design, Informatics and Business is growing its teaching base, on and off campus, and enhancing our research portfolio through substantial external funding. This role is an excellent opportunity for the successful candidate to contribute to the further development of the Faculty in a key growth area. Informal enquiries should be directed to Prof. Jim Bown, Vice-Principal (Faculty of Design, Informatics and Business) at j.bown@abertay.ac.uk.
