The role
Are you experienced in customer service and passionate about the creative arts? University of the Arts London is seeking a Technical Assistant to join us at London College of Fashion (LCF).
This is a varied role, working within a Technical Resources team that provides specialist support across LCF's workshops, equipment and facilities. You will be based in high-quality, purpose-built facilities at the East Bank campus, dispensing materials and resources that support a diverse and creative student community.
Working from the college stockrooms, you will play a key role in dispensing materials and equipment to students and staff, while maintaining accurate records and supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the stock room. In close collaboration with the rest of the team, you will deliver consistent and effective customer service to students and staff, while also ensuring resources are accessible and well-managed in a busy creative environment.
About you
We are looking for someone with experience in a customer service environment, who can communicate clearly and effectively, whether verbally, in writing or through visual media. You will bring strong organisational skills, with the ability to plan and prioritise your workload to meet deadlines, while also showing initiative and creativity in solving day-to-day problems.
You will be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, collaborating with a range of professional groups while upholding the principles of equality, diversity and inclusion. You will also be confident in supporting basic training or briefings to help others understand and use equipment effectively.
